请问蓝色划线加粗斜体部分是什么语法?第一个to be infected可以写成being infected也可以,为什么要用to be呢?第二个去掉to be in critical condition,直接were reported in critical condition 好像语法上也没错误阿?能不能再举一两个相关的例子?

不好意思，发到百度上后，原先的标示没了。蓝色划线加粗部分就是两个to be的结构。

to be in critical condition...

第一个是confirmed sb to be的变形,
第二个是report sb to be；
同时to be还有经过推测、论断的而后确定的意味.（此外它的其他意思如计划、必须、可以、可能等都有此种意味）
in critical condition处于严重的状况，处于处于就意味着表状态，需要一个be动词来表示。比如说一个人漂亮 是is beautiful吧。开心 is happy吧。
be infected with是固定词组表示被感染上什么病之类的。to be，to 后面当然是原型啊。
还有什么不明白吗
首先，非谓语作状语没有being done这个用法，除非是表示正在被做（做题必记），再，这个to be infected 是跟confirm一起的，是词组，被证实被感染了
同样，sb be reported to do 这是句型啊
