Dear XXX,
How's everything going? I'm writing to tell you about my new life as a high school student. The semester began only one week ago and I've already got a bunch of news to share with you.
I'm now living in the dormitory at school which is 2-hours driving away from home. My parents, especially my mom was kind of upset when they sent me to school and got everything ready in the dorm. But I'm really happy that I don't have to come and go between school and home everyday and all I could do was study all the time back then. I'm going to attend the basketball club in our school and I'm gonna show my mom that I can actually do both study and basketball well at the same time. You know in the first gym class, the teacher praised me for playing basketball well and it is him who suggests that I should go to attend the club and be one of the players of school team. I've made a lot of friends as well because of this and we've already had a plan to hold a contest some time next week.
Anyway I'm really excited about the high school life and I really hope you could come to visit me when you have time.
